	◎カベルネの1／10以下…白きイーグル。 カリフォルニア・カルトの頂点に君臨する 『スクリーミング・イーグル』。オーナーの交代、若手醸造家（Nick Gislason／右画像）の抜擢、セカンド・ワインのリリース、そしてアドヴォケイト100点など・・・定期的なペースで話題を振りまくこのワイナリーより、「遂に白が出た」として業界を騒然とさせたボトルがこのソーヴィニヨン・ブランでした。 はじまりは2006年。現オーナーのスタンリー・クロエンクが、ジーン・フィリップスからワイナリーを購入したこの年、栽培家デヴィッド・エイブリューの薦めで、現在48エーカーほどあるイーグルの畑のうち、30エーカーもの葡萄樹の植え替えが行われました。 その際、畑の北西セクションに、ナパにはあまり見られない粘土質土壌の2エーカーばかりの区画があり、ここに試しに…と植えられた葡萄樹、それこそがソーヴィニヨン・ブランでした。･･･(以下省略)
